Welcome to the S&M Medicinal Sweet Shoppe, I would like to tell you all the reason why we started making our delicious medicinal treats. My Husband had a serious back injury at work which required surgery, and as you all know with the wonderful medical system we have [NOT] it took 4 years to get him in. while he was waiting for surgery his doctor prescribed him Oxycontin, if you don't already know that's pretty much legal heroin, at the time we were completely unaware of the dangers of Oxycontin, and just how extremely addicting it was. it was 3 1/2 years later that we were watching a documentary about the war on drugs in the USA and the major Oxycontin epidemic they were experiencing. I knew before that how much it had changed him, he wasn't the happy, positive, out going, loving man that i married anymore, he had changed to someone that had a very short fuse was extremely irritable, depressed and the list goes on. Doug had started smoking marijuana again periodically, but because of his back injury coughing was just to much. We decided to go talk to his doctor about Medical Marijuana and she was willing to prescribe him medicinal edibles. Doug has always been a fabulous baker, so he decided to try his hand at medicinal baking and WOW! he knocked it out of the box!! he was able to quit the Oxycontin and only use his edibles for his pain. Doug and I decided that we want to be able to help other people who want an alternative to the pharmaceutical drugs that are prescribed to people every day that are killing people every day that are destroying lives and ripping families apart. These are the indirect effects of prescribed narcotics and i'm only naming a few. Need i mention all the awful side effects that come from these prescribed "legal" narcotics. the only side effect from our Sweet treats is that you will have a really good sleep if you over indulge.
